Redborne is a successful school on a spacious and pleasant campus near the market town of Ampthill in Bedfordshire. We achieve excellent examination results with about three-quarters of students typically gaining Maths and English at grades 9 – 4. ‘A’ Level results are also very good with over half at ‘A*’, ‘A’ or ‘B’ grades and an overall pass rate of 99.9%. About 80% of the Sixth Form go on to university and each year a number of students get into Oxbridge. The school is well regarded, oversubscribed and situated in a very pleasant area of Central Bedfordshire, within easy reach of London. The campus includes a state-of-the-art 400-seat theatre and Sixth Form social area.

KITCHEN SUPERVISOR
Start Date: 23rd February 2026 (or as soon as possible)
Contract: Part-time (23.75 hours/week, term-time only + 5 training days)
Monday – Friday: 9.30am – 2.30pm (15 minute unpaid break)
Salary: Level 3B (Point 8-11)
Actual Salary Range: £15,002 – £15,739 (dependent on experience)
Are you passionate about providing delicious and nutritious meals to children? Do you thrive in a busy, friendly environment? We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Supervisor to join our school's catering team!
About the Role
This is an exciting and varied role. You will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and serving of school meals and the smooth running of three busy school canteens. The role includes a range of duties and a great opportunity for a hard-working and friendly team player who is able to demonstrate:
- Empathy for student care
- High standards of food preparation and delivery
- A passion for working in a school environment
- Organisational skills
- An understanding of Health and Safety and Hygiene regulations
- The ability to thrive under pressure in a busy environment
You will play a vital part in ensuring our students receive high quality, wholesome lunches. You will assist with food preparation, serve meals with a smile, help keep our kitchen sparkling clean and support the Catering Manager in all aspects of daily operations.
