Information for Teachers

As a new staff member you will be given access to Unifrog which is an excellent online resource used widely across the student body and for application processes in the sixth form. There is an abundance of help guides via the help tab which will support your immediate exploration. If you are a Year 9 or Sixth Form tutor you will deliver part of our careers programme through tutor times. Please ensure that you access the shared folder in Google Drive relating to your year team’s input to the careers curriculum.

The school also pays for a licence to www.morrisby.com which all students can access. Students take a short psychometric questionnaire which gauges interests, attitudes and motivations. They are then offered career and education suggestions, personalised to them.
The school’s careers curriculum is delivered to year 10s and 11s through timetabled work skills lessons and through tutor times for the other year groups as well as assemblies, careers guidance interviews, workshops and events. There is also linking of curriculum learning to careers by subject departments.

Please do take a look at  https://www.educationandemployers.org/research/motivated-to-achieve/

With this in mind, subject schemes of work include ‘Employability Skills’ enabling staff to easily make world of work connections.

You are always welcome to come and speak to us. The Career Leader's office is room 3, Ground Floor, South School.
