Teacher Subject Specialism Training (TSST) Programmes – Secondary Mathematics and Secondary Physics

Redborne Upper School, in partnership with The University of Bedfordshire, is running two school led secondary TSST programmes from October 2019 – June 2020.

The programmes, which are free of charge, are for teachers who would like to develop either their secondary mathematics or physics subject knowledge because they currently sometimes teach these subjects, or may be asked to do so in the future:

  • qualified teachers who are not Physics or Maths specialists
  • teachers without QTS working in an Academy,
  • those who are members of and have been awarded Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills status (QTLS) by the Society for Education if they have firm plans to teach secondary physics in a school or sixth form college.

The programme provides teachers with four days of intensive secondary mathematics or physics training at the University of Bedfordshire (Polhill Campus), as well as access to online resources, in-school teaching opportunities and support, and quality assurance upon successful completion.

To register your interest in any future programmes, then please email Vicki Walsh (vicki.walsh@redborne.com).
